Tibetan Scroll Paintings Exhibition – “Power Fields of the Buddhas”

In 2001, the Diamond Way Buddhism Foundation supported an exhibition of old and new Tibetan Buddhist scroll paintings (Tib. thangkas) in Frankfurt and Hamburg, which received a lot of attention in the press. The paintings from Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan are ambassadors of a more than 2500 years old culture. They display buddha aspects—like Loving Eyes (Tib. Chenrezig)—which are used for meditation by students of the Karma Kagyu lineage, one of the four major Buddhist schools in Tibet. Many of the outstanding loans coming from private collections were seen in public for the first time. An information brochure was published to accompany the exhibition.
