The Ropki Retreat Center in Poland
The Ropki Retreat Center is situated in the mountains of Southern Poland. It comprises two wooden houses and a large property picturesquely situated on a hill off the main roads. A necessary access road was realized in 2005, partly with financial aid of the Diamond Way Buddhism Foundation. Ropki Center's aim is to provide grounds for individual and group retreats. Since 2002, the remote location along with the detached wooden retreat house have already hosted all kinds of meditation retreats. Two new comfortable retreat cottages 300m uphill from the main building will be finished in 2014. Then, more people can go on retreats and larger meditation courses can take place all year round and Ropki´s significance for the Polish sangha will be growing.
